SMS-Assistant is the main system of management through SMS/PLUS of additional services set in subscriber’s phone. This service allows GSM subscriber connecting/disconnecting periodical services by sending SMS or by means of “MTS Plus” service.
SMS-Assistant is available only for subscribers in Off-line system.
The cost of connection and single or monthly cost of periodical services which is connected by SMS/SMS-PLUS is equal to the cost of similar operation in MTS-Uzbekistan offices.
To use SMS-Assistant you will not have to set up your phone. To add or delete the service it is enough to send SMS with a code of the service to a short number. In case of successful command fulfillment you will receive an appropriate SMS.
For example, using SMS you may receive information on your balance and extra fees from the beginning of the month to your telephone.

By default SMS-Assistant is deactivated at all subscribers. To activate the service a subscriber should send its PUK-code* in SMS to number 616000. As a response a subscriber will receive a notice that from now on he will be personally liable for all changes made from his mobile phone. If activation is not successful a subscriber will receive a message "Activation attempt has been declined".
To receive the list of short numbers and descriptions of services complying with them a subscriber should send a blank SMS to number 616000:

Before switching on/off any service a subscriber may check condition of the service.
To check condition of the service a subscriber should send a blank SMS to an appropriate short number. If the service is on a subscriber will receive the message "The service is on from ….. ". If the service is off a subscriber will receive the message "The service is inactive".
For example: If a subscriber wants to know whether the service "Data transfer" is activated then he should send a blank SMS to number 616003. If the service is not set up a subscriber will receive the message "the service is off" but if the service is on then the message "the service is set up" will be delivered.
To change condition of the service a subscriber should send an SMS command «0» or «1» (0 – to deactivate the service; 1 – to activate the service) to an appropriate short number of the service. A subscriber will be informed on results of the development by the messages "the service is activated" or "the service is deactivated". In case of an error the reasons thereof will be returned "the service cannot be activated".
For example: A subscriber should set up GPRS service. In this case a subscriber sends digit "1" (without quotation marks) in an SMS to number 616001. As a response a subscriber will receive the message "the service is activated".
